Shalom until next time.  Thanks for following the blog.

Oct 14 -

This morning after breakfast we will have our bus pick us up for our visit to the  Israeli Museum.  This is the location of the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed

and also the model city built to scale of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus.

We also had a short visit to the museum

Following this we will head to the Garden Tomb where we will have a Communion Service.

Our last stop is Bethany, the home of Mary and Martha and the tomb where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

Since we will be leaving at O dark O clock we want to say thanks to those who made this trip possible.  Thanks Pastor Tim & Lisa

and Pastor Joe & Robin.

Also, thanks to Keith for being our "herder"  He never left anyone behind.

Oct 13 -

This morning we started again at 8:00 and proceeded to the  Davidson Center and walked on the 1stcentury stones around the Temple Mount,

Our next stop was to continue up on the Temple Mount,

a visit to Bethesda

and the Church of St Anne's where the acoustics are so good that everyone wants to sing.

We then went onto St Peter of Gallicantu (gallicantu means cock crow) which commemorates where Jesus spent the night before his crucifixion.

After a quick lunch of ice cream and beer or coke we went to Mt Scopus for the Sifting Project so everyone could get an opportunity to learn a little about archeology hands on.

Our last visit of the day was to the Holocaust Museum and remembered the 6 Million Jews killed by the Nazi's.

Oct 12 -

We woke up this AM to a beautiful sunrise over the Old City.

Due to Yom Kippur we did not get started until 9:00 AM with our walking tour of the Christian sites in the Old City. Everything is so quiet and peacefull!

We had lunch in the Muslim Quarter and some of us enjoyed the pizza and the best lemonade I have ever had

After lunch we headed for the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

We stopped for some refreshments before going back to the hotel.

On the way back we stopped to see a grave with a rolling stone.

I think we will make an early night of it since everyone seems quite tired.  We put in 5.3 miles today on foot.
